You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Not sure which you wanted so I will solve both.
For
2%2F%283x-7%29=5we will multiply both sides by 3x-7
Giving us 2=5%283x-7%29
When we distribute the 5
2=15x-35 Now add 35 to both sides.
37=15x
and divide both sides by 15.
x=37%2F15
Now the other interpretation of your problem.
2%2F3x+-+7=5 For this one you would need to get a common denominator first.
So 2%2F3x-%287%2A3x%29%2F3x=5
With the common denominator we have.
%282-21x%29%2F3x=5 Now we will multiply both sides by 3x.
Giving us 2-21x=5%2A3x=15x Add 21x to both sides.
2=36x Divide both sides by 36.
x=2%2F36=1%2F18
