I need help with COMPLETELY factoring out the polynomial 3x%5E3-12x
Ok first step would be to factor out 3x which leaves us with
3x%28x%5E2-4%29 Now we can use the differance of squares formula which says that a%5E2-b%5E2=%28a-b%29%28a%2Bb%29
For us a=x and b=-2
This gives us 3x%28x%5E2-4%29=3x%28x%2B2%29%28x-2%29 we factored the x%5E2-4 using difference of squares.
