Question 162656: I have one more....I need help.

5 and 1/3*3 and 1/3*2 and 1/4
It is always easier to make mixed numbers into improper fractions and then perform the operation:
1.To represent a mixed number in its improper form do the following: multiply the donimator times the whole number and add this to the numerator---the denominator of the new improper fraction will be the same as the denominator of the fraction in the mixed number:
5 and 1/3
step 1: 3(5)+1=15+1=16
so 5 and 1/3 = 16/3
3 and 1/3= 10/3
Lets multiply now
5 and 1/3 * 3 and 1/3 * 1/4
16/3 * 10/3 * 1/4
(16*10*1)/(3*3*4)=160/36 (NOW REDUCE OR IF ASKED FOR MAKE INTO MIXED NUMBER)
40/9= (4 and 4/9)
