70/3 divided by 10/x,
--------------------------
Invert the denominator and multiply, as follows:
= (70/x) * (x/10)
The x's cancel; The common factor of 10 cancels;
The result is :
= 7

Well since it is not equal to any thing, we can't solve for "x". However, we can simplify

%2870%2F3%29%2F%2810%2Fx%29 Start with the given expression

%2870%2F3%29%2A%28x%2F10%29 Multiply the first fraction 70%2F3 by the reciprocal of the second fraction 10%2Fx

%28%287%2A10%29%2F3%29%2A%28x%2F10%29 Factor 70 to get 7%2A10

%287%2A10%2Ax%29%2F%283%2A10%29 Combine the fractions.

%287%2Ahighlight%2810%29%2Ax%29%2F%283%2Ahighlight%2810%29%29 Highlight the common terms

%287%2Across%2810%29%2Ax%29%2F%283%2Across%2810%29%29 Cancel out the common terms

%287x%29%2F%283%29 Simplify
