First we get rid of the denominators of 4
by multiplying both sides by 4%2F1

4%2F1·3%2F4(4%2F5x-2)=4%2F1·11%2F4

Cancel the 4's

cross%284%29%2F1·3%2Fcross%284%29(4%2F5x-2)=cross%284%29%2F1·11%2Fcross%284%29

3(4%2F5x-2)=11

Now write the 3 as 3%2F1
and the 2 as 2%2F1

3%2F1(4%2F5x-2%2F1)=11

Now distribute on the left:

3%2F1·4%2F5x-3%2F1·2%2F1=11

12%2F5x-6%2F1=11

Write the 11 as 11%2F1

12%2F5x-6%2F1=11%2F1

The LCD = 5 so we get rid of
the denominators by multiplying through
every term by 5%2F1

5%2F1·12%2F5x-5%2F1·6%2F1=5%2F111%2F1

Now we cancel the 5's in the first term and
multiply in the other terms:

So all that's left is
