You can put this solution on YOUR website! Stupid way of solving it: First you need to find out the number.

number = 45
twice the number is twice 45 is 90
1/3 of 90 is 30.
Smarter way of solving it: two thirds is the same as 1/3 of twice, it is another way of saying the same thing. So, then, if 2/3 of a number is 30, 1/3 of twice the number is the same thing

You can put this solution on YOUR website! This can be quickly solved using an equation with a variable . You can name this variable anything...x , y or whatever alphabet you like. I am going to use x for my solution below.
2/3*x= 30 (this equation represents the first sentence "if 2/3 of a number is 30"
Now, x would represent the part that refers to the 'number'
'Of' would mean multiply by.
Solve for x.
x= 30 divided by 2/3
x= 30*3/2
x= 45
The next part asks , "what is 1/3 of twice the number?"
We now know the number is 45. Twice the number would be 90.
So 1/3 of twice the number would be 1/3*90 = 30.
