Well you can't reduce the fraction, but you can convert it to a mixed fraction.
Start with the given improper fraction
Break up into . Notice how is a multiple of .
Break up the fraction.
Reduce to get .
Simplify. Remember is the same as .
So the improper fraction is the mixed fraction .
So the fraction is still negative
