You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+3.9+%2F6+
Multiply top and bottom by +10+
+39%2F60+
Divide top and bottom by +3+
+13%2F20+
You can express this as:
+10%2F20+%2B+3%2F20+
+1%2F2+%2B+3%2F20+
Multiply top and bottom of the 2nd
fraction by +5+
+1%2F2+%2B+15%2F100+
Now show this as decimals:
+.5+%2B+.15+=+.65+

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Put a 0 after the 9 and write this:

6)3.90

Put a decimal above the decimal in 3.90

   .
6)3.90

6 goes into 3 zero times, so we write a zero before the
decimal.

  0.
6)3.90

6 goes into 39 six times, so we write 6 after
the decimal

  0.6
6)3.90

Multiply the 6 on top times the 6 at the left,
get 36, so wrote 36 underneath the 39.

  0.65
6)3.90
  3 6

Draw a line under the 36

  0.65
6)3.90
  3 6

Subtract 39 minus 36 which is 3, so write
3 underneath the line

  0.65
6)3.90
  3 6
    3

Bring down the 0 on the end on 3.90, and
put it beside the 3 at the bottom:

  0.65
6)3.90
  3 6
    30

6 goes into 30 five times so we write 5 at the
top beside the 6

  0.65
6)3.90
  3 6
    30

We multiply 5 times 6 and write 30 underneath the
30 at the bottom:

  0.65
6)3.90
  3 6
    30
    30

We draw a line underneath that 30:

  0.65
6)3.90
  3 6
    30
    30

We subtract 30 minus 30 and get 0, and
write that at the bottom:

  0.65
6)3.90
  3 6
    30
    30
     0

Since the remainder is 0 we are done, and
the quotient is the 0.65 at the top.
