we want to find out how much 3/10ths of a pound costs.
since this is a fraction problem i will keep them in fractions not decimals
to turn 4 pounds into its respective fraction you should know that 5%2F5=1
so %285%2F5%29%2B%285%2F5%29%2B%285%2F5%29%2B%285%2F5%29=%2820%2F5%29

so %2822%2F5%29= 4 and 2/5ths a pound of spinach of 8.36
but we need tenths not 5ths
to get tenths from a 5th u need to multiply by a 1 that will change the look of the fraction but not the actual number as you know 1 times anything is itself.
so 5 times 2 = 10, and the 1 we will use is 2%2F2
