I take it the x is to indicate multiplication?
1/4n= 3/8 Divide both sides by 1/4:
n= (3/8)/(1/4) To divide fractions, you flip the second fraction and multiply, like this:
n= 3/8*4/1= (3*4)/(8/1)= 24/4 Divide 24 by 4: 24/4 = 6 is your answer
