Question 757628: Hello!
I'm in grade 9. I work from a textbook called, "Math Makes Sense"
In one of the questions I was told to do was, "Write the rational number represented by each letter on the number line, as a fraction" I've looked through the textbook to find step by step instructions, I've checked online, asked around for help but none of them seem to help. I've basically tried everything I could. The thing that most confused me was the number line. It was put like this,
-|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|-
-12.........E..-11..F..........-10
I did look at the answer at the back of the textbook which was, E= 45/4 F= 43/4.
All I'm trying to figure out is how they got that! If you could help me with this, it would be gladly appreciated.
Thanks for taking your time to read this.
