If you draw a line the puts 4,5,6,7,8&9 on one side, and
1,2,3,10,11 & 12 on the other, both add to 39, which is 3*13.

The line would go thru the 3:30 point, the center, and the 9:30 point.

The sum of the numbers 1+2+...+12 is 78, so half of 78 would be 39. Try finding some consecutive numbers on a clock that add up to 39.
