This is about the best I can do.
The ---'s are just the number line
The ###'s are the graph of the solution
The open O's at -2 and 3 indicate that -2 and 3 are the boundaries (between solution and not solution) but are NOT a part of the solution. If the inequality had been -2 < or = x < 3, then the circle at -2 would have been filled in, but the circle at 3 would have still been open. Got it?
