10%5E-6 means that the decimal point needs to be moved 6 places to the left of 10. Now, since 10’s decimal point follows the zero (10.), after moving the decimal point 6 places to the left, we get highlight_green%28.00001%29, because the last zero is dropped.

If this example were say 10%5E6 (positive exponent), then we would instead move the decimal point 6 places to the RIGHT to get 10,000,000
