So x%3E-4 and x%3C=6. First mark the points 6 and -4 on the number line. Now shade everything in between, maybe in a different color pencil so you can see it better. Make sure you shade what's in between and do not include the numbers. Good. Now you have demonstrated that -4%3Cx%3C6. But since you wanted x%3C=6, you can now color in the six. Now you have shown -4%3Cx%3C=6.
