Question 23111: The section we are working on has to do with augmented matrices, and here's the question:
"In triangle ABC, the measure of angle A is twice the measure of angle B. The measure of angle C exceeds four times the measure of angle B by 12 degrees. Find the measure of each angle."
I've tried this problem several times and just can't find a reasonable answer. Please help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = angle B since it is at the end of the first sentence and because angle A is described in terms of angle B. Therefore, let x = angle B
2x = angle A
4x +12 = angle C

The equation is that the sum of the three angles is 180 degrees.
x+ 2x + 4x + 12 = 180
7x + 12 = 180
7x = 168
7x%2F7=+168%2F7
x=+24 degrees = Angle B
2x+=+48 degrees = Angle A
4x+%2B+12+=+108+ degrees = Angle C

Check: 24+48+108 = 180 degrees
It checks!
