In this video lesson, first I explain what is meant by linear equations. Then, I solve three examples of linear equations by showing what they mean graphically. Both sides of a linear equation may be graphed as linear functions, and the solution is their intersection on the coordinate plane. Two examples have solutions, and one example does not. I show what it means for a linear equation not to have a solution in terms of graphs.
