*This is my work thus far, but somewhere along the way I am going wrong since the answer resulting is not correct*
(-9,0) (0,8)
m= y^2-y^1/ x^2-x^1
8-0/0--9= -8/9
y-y^1= m(x-x^1)
y-8= -8/9(x-0)
y-8=-8/9x
y=-8/9x +8

My answers so far have been: -3x+5, 3x+5, 5x+3, and 5x+ 15.

Question 1126895: Write each equation in Slope-Intercept Form if possible and identify the slope and y-intercept if they exist.
6x-4y=24
The answer I obtained was y=-6/4x + 24/4
y-int: 24/-4
If I got this incorrect can a tutor please explain what step I did incorrectly?? Thank you!

Question 1127239: Find the area of a triangle bounded by the y-axis, the line f(x) = 6 − 6/7x, and the line perpendicular to f(x) that passes through the origin. (Round your answer to two decimal places.)
*This is what I have came up with so far:
f(x)= y = 6-6/7x.
Slope =-6/7.
-1/-6/7= 7/6.
7/7x=6-6/7x
From here I am lost on what to do next. Multiplying each fraction by its reciprocal seems to be the next step, but I'm not entirely sure if it is the correct step.*
