This is what I did -4/3=y-(-1)/(x-7)
-4/3=y+1/x-7
-4(x-7)=2(y+1)
-4x+28=2y+2
-4x=2y+2+28
-4x=2y+30
-2y=4x+30
-2y/-2=(4x+30)/-2
y=4x/-2+30/-2
y=-2x+-15

Question 590818: I am having a problem with getting to the final answer. I seem to have the set up correct but as soon as I go to solve I have it wrong.
m= (fraction 3/4),(6,-6)
its a y-y1=m (x-x1) set up.
I get that its
3-(-6)=3/4(4-6)
3y=3/4-2
y=3/4x-5
Once I get here I lose it.
I thoght it was -5x4+3 all over 4. It just keeps not working. Can you please tell me where I am going wrong?

Anyways, I need to solve this system of equations by graphing;
2x - y = 5

I did it by addition/subtraction AND substitution and got ( 3,4 ), but when using the Systems of Equations Graphing Solver, as I had stated, there was no subtraction option, so I could only use addition for my first system, thus making everything wrong. Please help me! I'm doing this for a project that is due TOMORROW and I need prompt help! It is the last part of the project, so I'm not very worried as I have created everything else correctly. Thank you for your time in advance!!

This is what I have......
3x+4y=5, 2x+y=1
3x+4y=5
3x-3x+4y=5-3x
4y=5-3x
4y=3x+5
y=3x+5/4
2x+y=1
2x-2x+y=1-2x
y=1-2x
1y=-2x+1/1
y=-2x+1 no solution
What am I doing wrong here?
