Question 798000: Graph 2x+4=y
Answer by smartgal(2) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! okay so lets use the slope intercept form which is :y=mx+b Where m is the slope and b is the y intercept.
the equation is 2x+4=y
so if you flip it around so that it is in slope intercept form the new equation would be: y=2x+4
to graph this you would need to start at a point. lets use the y intercept.the y intercept is 4( because it is where b is). so on the y axis, graph the point 4(lets call this point A). remember when using slope it is always rise over run (rise/run) and 2 is the slope. so its 2/1. so from A go up two numbers and to the right one number. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS GO TO THE RIGHT. and finish by connecting the points(preferably with a ruler).
I hope that this helps you!!! :)
