You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you want to simplify 4a-3(a-(2a+1))

start with 4a-3(a-(2a+1))

resolve the inner parentheses to get:
4a-3(a-(2a+1)) becomes:
4a - 3(a - 2a - 1) which becomes:
4a - 3(-a - 1)

resolve the parentheses to get:

4a + 3a + 3

combine like terms to get:

7a + 3

the final expression is equivalent to the original expression.

a quick way to see if you got it right is to give a random value to a and then evaluate the original expression and the final expression.

if they both give you the same answer, then you got it right.

i used a = 5 and got 38 from both expressions so i'm reasonably confident that i got it right.
