You can put this solution on YOUR website! yes because the formula for a linear equasion is y=mx+b, and in the first of the three, the result would be a horizontal line, which would make x=0 and anything times zero is zero, so y would = -4. The same goes for the others.Answer by longjonsilver(2297)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! i must just qualify what was put here previously... thte first 2 equations are linear (ie a straight line if plotted). The third is not linear, as it has a 1/x^2 term: DEFINITELY NOT linear.
 As for y=-4, x is not zero, x is not defined...x can be any value it likes, since the line does not depend upon it. The line is purely defined by the fact that anywhere along its length, y is always -4.

 y=mx+c
 in 1st eq. c=-4
 in 2nd eq. y=-2x+3
 means m=-2 c=3
