Question 977844: I am a mom trying to help with a homework question.
My son is supposed to graph the following equation: 9-3/4x = y
Slope - intercept formula is y = mx + b
Is it as simple as -3/4 = slope and 9 = y intercept?
Thank you for your help. I have not done algebra in years.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It looks like it is that simple.
Maybe they are trying to see if the
student recognizes the slope intercept
form written in reverse.
+9+-+%283%2F4%29%2Ax+=+y+
is the same as
+y+=+-%283%2F4%29%2Ax+%2B+9+
