You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you use this equation to find the y int
y=mx%2Bb where b is the y int
and m is the slope.

step 1:
find the slope

to do this you will need 2 points.
(1,8)(2,6)
put these points into the following equation
%28y%5E2-y%5E1%29%2F%28x%5E2-x%5E1%29
%286-8%29%2F%282-1%29
-2%2F1
The slope or m is -2.

step 2:
find b

once givce the slope, you now have
y=-2x%2Bb
using a point
(1,8)
you can find b
y=-2x%2Bb%0D%0A%7B%7B%7B8=-2%281%29%2Bb
8=-2%2Bb
10=b
since b is the y int, the y int is 10 or (0,10)

7 -4
------------------
You can pick any 2 points, find the equation, then find the y-intercept.
---
Or, you can see from this pair
1 8
2 6
that y increases 2 when x decreases by 1
Subtract 1 from x --> add 2 to y.
--> (0,10)
