You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y-intercept is -3.
Slope can be counted. Slope from left to right is vertical change +3, horizontal change 4.5, for slope 3/4.5 or 6/9 or simplified, 2/3.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
linear equation is: y=mx%2Bb where m is a slope and b is a y-intercept; so, we need m and b
from the graph we see that
if x=4.5 => y=0
and
if x=0 => y=-3=> a y-intercept highlight%28b=-3%29
then we will use these points to set the system of two equations to find m and b
y=mx%2Bb ........if x=4.5,y=0, and b=-3
0=m%2A4.5-3 .........solve for m

3=m%2A4.5
3%2F4.5=m
m=30%2F45....simplify, divide both numerator and denominator by 15
m=2%2F3
so, your equation is: y=%282%2F3%29x-3
