: Question:

Find the slope of the line passing through each pair of points or state that the slope is undefined.
Then indicate whether the line through the point rises, falls, is horizontal, or is vertical.
(6,-4)and(4,-2)
I will need this by this evening if possible. I need to submit a similar one as this by tomorrow. Thank you so much.

Solved by pluggable solver: Finding the slope

Slope of the line through the points (6, -4) and (4, -2)

m+=+%28y%5B2%5D+-+%28y%5B1%5D%29%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D+-+x%5B1%5D%29

m+=+%28-2+-+%28-4%29%29%2F%284+-+6%29

m+=+%28-2+%2B+4%29%2F%284+-+6%29

m+=+%282%29%2F%28-2%29

m+=+-1

Answer: Slope is m+=+-1

Since the slope is negative, the line falls as it moves from left to right.

To see this, plot the points and draw a line through them

So we can see that the line is falling.
