Question 879909: I need help with this, I am not understanding the addition method of linear equations.
Solve the system with the addition method:
-3x+7y+-5
-15x+35y+-25
then it says to enter the answer as integers or reduced fractions. If there is now solutions, type DNE. If there are an infinite number of solutions, specify their form in the blanks (eg, (x,2x-3)
I am unsure of what the second part is, I know that the first is (x,___)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You need to correct your equations.
They don't have an equal sign in them.
I'm assuming it's,
-3x%2B7y=-5
-15x%2B35y=-25
So the second equation is 7 times the first equation, so they are the same equation and have an infinite number of solutions.
So then,
-3x%2B7y=-5
7y=3x-5
y=%283%2F7%29x-5%2F7%29
So then,
(x,%283%2F7%29x-5%2F7)
