1.x-y=+-11
2.8x-2y=+-58
Multiply eq. 1 by (-8) and add to eq. 2 to eliminate x.
-8x%2B8y%2B8x-2y=88-58
6y=30
y=5
Now use either equation to solve for x
x-5=-11
x=-6
