You can put this solution on YOUR website!
As you have stated this problem, there is not enough information. So please, figure out which one of these cases yours applies to. I'll attempt to take some guesses on what the question says:
Guess #1 : Find the line that is parallel to y=2x-1 and goes through the point (2,-2):
We know that y=2x-1 has slope 2 and that a line that is parallel to that also would have slope 2. We have a point (2,-2) so we use the point slope form.
y-y_1+=+m%28x-x_1%29
y-%28-2%29+=+2%28x-2%29
y%2B2+=+2x-4
highlight%28y+=+2x-6%29
Guess #2: Find the line that is perpendicular to y=2x-1 and goes through the point (2,-2):
We know that y=2x-1 has slope 2 and that a line that is perpendicular to that has opposite reciprocal slope -1/2. We have a point (2,-2) so we use the point slope form.

y-y_1+=+m%28x-x_1%29
y-%28-2%29+=+-%281%2F2%29%28x-2%29
y%2B2+=+-%281%2F2%29x+%2B1
highlight%28y+=+-%281%2F2%29x+-1%29
I assume it is probably the first one, but be thorough in your check.
Hope this helps!
