You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1.x%2By=5
2.2x%2B3y=12
From eq. 1,
x=5-y
Substitute into eq. 2,
2%285-y%29%2B3y=12
10-2y%2B3y=12
10%2By=12
y=2
Then from eq.1,
x=5-2
x=3

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
standard form for a line is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y intercept
therefore our two lines are
y = -x +5
y = -2x/3 + 4
substitute for y in second equation with first
-x+5 = -2x/3 +4
multiply both sides of - by 3
-3x+15 = -2x+12
x = 3
y = 2
the intersection of both lines is (3,2)
the graphs look like this
