Question 828520: My question is on Co-ordinate Geometry:The Line
k is the line x+3y=6
(i)Find three points on k
(ii)Draw the line
(iii)Find the slope of k
(iv)Investigate if (-54,20)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! line k is x+3y=6, now put k in standard form ( y = mx +b )
y = -x/3 +2
i) three points on line k, (0,2), (3, 1), (-3, 3) note you pick x value, then solve for y
ii) graph of y = -x/3 +2

iii) slope (m) of k is -1/3
iv) is (-54, 20) on line k?
20 = -(-54)/3 +2
20 = 18 +2
20 = 20
yes, point (-54, 20) lies on line k
