Question 8108: I have a problem with the following points: {-2,8} and {-2,-1} when i do the slope formula i get an undefined slope how do i finish the problem?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! AHA! You get an undefined slope because the x-values in both ordered pairs are the same, making you have a 0 denominator in your slope formula.
I'm not sure what you're asked to do to "finish the problem". The only things I can think of are (1) you're done; all they want you to find out is the slope, or undefined if it really is, and (2) they want you to find the equation of the line that goes through those two points.
If you've got a line with an undefined slope, the equation of that line is ALWAYS x equals the x-coordinate they (the ordered pair) have in common. In your case, that common x-coordinate is the -2, so the equation for your line is x = -2.
