You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve |2x+4|-6<-10
**
two solutions:
2x+4-6<-10
2x<-8
x<-4
..
-(2x+4)-6<-10
-2x-4-6<-10
-2x-10<-10
2x+10>10
2x>0
x>0
..
number line:
<===-4).......(0===>
solution:
(-∞,-4) U (0,∞)

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20056) About Me  (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
|2x+4| - 6 < -10

Add 6 to both sides to isolate the absolute value:

    |2x+4| < -4

There is no solution because the absolute of a number
is never negative. For an absolute value to be less
than -4 would mean that it would have to be negative.
Thus it is impossible for it to have any solution.
