You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The equation of a line passing through the points (x1,y1) & (x2,y2) is
%28y-y1%29%2F%28y1-y2%29+=+%28x-x1%29%2F%28x1-x2%29

(x1,y1) -(5/12,-1), (x2,y2)- (-3/4,1/6)
plug the values in the equation
%28y-%09-1%09%29%2F%28%09-1-+1%2F6%09%29=%28x-++5%2F12%29%2F%28+3%2F7%2B+3%2F4%09%29

%28y-%091++%29%2F%28%09-7%2F+6%09%29=%28x-++5%2F12%29+%2F%28%097%2F+6%09%29

+%097%2F+6%09%28y-1%29+=%09-7%2F+6%09%28x-+5%2F12%29

7/ 6 y-7/ 6 = -7/ 6 x - 35/72

7/ 6 y= -7/ 6 x+49/72
/ 7/ 6
y=-1x+ 7/12
m=-1

Write an equation of the line that passes through each pair of points.
(5/12,-1) (-3/4,1/6)
-----
slope = m = ((1/6 - -1)/(-3/4 - 5/12) = (7/6)/(-14/12)
-----
= (7/6)(-6/7) = -1
-----
Form: y = mx + b
You know m = -1 and y = -1 when x = 5/12 ;
solve for "b":
-1 = -1(5/12) + b
b = (-12/12)+(5/12)
b = -7/12
-------
Equation:
y = -x - (7/12)
