Standard form is Ax%2BBy=C with A, B, and C integers and A non-negative.
Because in both cases you have the slope and a point is best to start from point-slope form:
y-y%5B0%5D=m%28x-x%5B0%5D%29
First case:
y-8+=+3%28x-%28-2%29%29
y+-+8+=+3x%2B6
Subtract y from both sides:
-8+=+3x-y%2B6
Subtract 6 from both sides:
-14+=+3x-y
or
3x-y+=+-14
Second case:
y-3+=+-2%28x-4%29
y-3+=+-2x%2B8
Add 2x on both sides:
2x%2By-3+=+8
Add 3 on both sides:
2x%2By=11
