You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Write the equation of the line with slope -2 and y intercept(0,0)
Then graph the line
:
The slope intercept form of a line is highlight%28y=mx%2Bb%29, where m=slope and (0,b)=y-intercept.
m=-2 and (0,b)=(0,0)
y=%28-2%29x%2B%280%29
y=-2x%2B0
highlight%28y=-2x%29
To graph this line, plot a point at the y-intercept (0,0)
From that point use the slope m=rise/run to plot another point. Think of m=-2 as m=-2/1, go down 2 and right 1 and plot another point at (1,-2). Connect the two points and you should have a line that looks like:
graph%28300%2C200%2C-10%2C10%2C-10%2C10%2C-2x%29
Happy Calculating!!!
