Question 679729: My teacher gave the question:
Find the equation of the line with the slope of 1/2 containing the point (2, -4) in slope intercept form.
I did y=1/2(2)+b
y=1+b
-4=1+b
-1 -1
------
-5=b
y=1/2x-5
however in the review my teacher is showing the answer as: y=1/2x+5
Did she do a typo or am I doing something wron?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You are right. It is y+=+%281%2F2%29%2Ax+-5.
