You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(I)x-2=3 and (II)4x+8y=10
From the first equation x=5
and second equation if you put 5 instead of x , you get 4.5+8y=10
8y=-10
y=-10/8
So the equation has unique solution.

Equation 4+x+%2B+8+y+=+10 describes a sloping line. For any
equation ax+by+c = 0, slope is -a%2Fb+=+-4%2F8.
  • X intercept is found by setting y to 0: ax+by=c becomes ax=c. that means that x = c/a. 10/4 = 2.5.
  • Y intercept is found by setting x to 0: the equation becomes by=c, and therefore y = c/b. Y intercept is 10/8 = 1.25.
  • Slope is -4/8 = -0.5.
  • Equation in slope-intercept form: y=-0.5*x+1.25.

this equation defines a vertical line.

  • X intercept: 5. X intercept is the intersection of the line with the x axis.

  • Y intercept: not defined (the line IS vertical)

  • Slope: not defined, can be thought of as infinite
