the slope is defined as m and it is m=%28y2-y1%29%2F%28x2-x1%29 which becomes m=%28-1-9%29%2F%281-6%29=-10%2F-2=5 and then we use the formula of y-y1=m%28x-x1%29 which becomes y-9=2%28x-6%29 which becomes y-9=2x-12 and then y=2x-12%2B9 which is y=2x-3 and if you check the points for the x and the y, you will see that the line is true at those points.
