Question 64881: I have to find the slope and y- intercept of the line for these three but i dont get how
4x+2y=32 i tried to work this out here
-4 -4
2y=-4x-32
y-2x=16
the next is 9x+3y=-81
2x-5y=10

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To find the slope and y-intercept you'll need to get your equation into the slope-intercept form: y = mx+b
4x%2B3y+=+32 Subtract 4x from both sides.
3y+=+-4x%2B32 Now divide both sides by 3.
y+=+%28-4%2F3%29x+%2B+32%2F3 Compare this with:
y+=+mx%2Bb The slope, m+=+%28-4%2F3%29
The y-intercept, b+=+32%2F3
y-2x+=+16 Add 2x to both sides.
y+=+2x%2B16 Compare this with:
y+=+mx%2Bb
The slope, m+=+2
The y-intercept, b+=+16
By now, you should have the idea so try it on the other equations.
