You can't say what "the" ordered pair is that satisfies your equation. There are an infinite number of them. You can, however, determine as many of them as you like. Pick a number for one of the variables. Replace that variable with the number. Do the arithmetic to determine the value of the other variable that results from your choice. Write your ordered pair , using your selected and calculated values. Typically the chosen value is the and the calculated one is the , but you don't have to do it that way.
