Solve for y as follows:
3x-12<4y
y>(3/4)x-3
----------
Now, graph the EQUALITY y=(3/4)x-3 as a dashed line
If x=0, y=-3 ; If x=4, y=0
Plot the two points (0,-3) and (4,0)
Draw a dashed line thru those points.

Since you want to graph y GREATER THAN (3/4)x-3
you should shade the half-plane ABOVE the dashed line.
That is the graph of the INEQUALITY.
