Question 627128: Find the slope intercept form for the line satisfying the following conditions:
x-intercept 2, intercept 2/5
The slope-intercept from for the line is ______
I am not looking for the answer, just the way to find the answer.
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The x-intercept is 2. So one point is (2, 0)
The y-intercept is 2/5, so another point is (0, 2/5)
So you need to find the equation of the line that goes through (2, 0) and (0, 2/5).
This equation is in the form y = mx+b where b is the y-intercept.
So you need the to find the slope m
Hope this helps. Let me know if it doesn't. Thanks.
