Graph f(x) = 2x + 4
:
f(x)=y on the coordinate system:
y=2x+4
Let x=0 and solve for y
y=2(0)+4
y=0+4
y=4, plot (0,4)
Now let y=0 and solve for x
0=2x+4
0-4=2x+4-4
-4=2x
-4/2=2x/2
-2=x Plot (-2,0)
Connect the points and you have this line:
