find the value of a such that the graph of the equation has the given slope:
y=2ax+4;m=-1
The slope intercept form of a line is highlight%28y=mx%2Bb%29, where m=slope, and (0,b)=y-intercept.
2a is where m goes, so:
2a=-1
2a/2=-1/2
highlight%28a=-1%2F2%29
Happy Calculating!!!
