Question 57274: Can someone help me on this problem? I put it through last night but I typed it in wrong.
Which of the ordered pairs (-3, 3), (9,0), (-3, -3), (-23, 8)
are solutions for the equation x + 4y = 9?
Thanks,
Sher

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hi Sher, I think I corrected this for you, but just in case you didn't get it:
Which of the ordered pairs (-3, 3), (9,0), (-3, -3), (-23, 8)
are solutions for the equation x + 4y = 9?
:
For (x,y)=(-3,3)
-3+4(3)=9
-3+12=9
9=9 True
(-3,3) is a solution.
:
For (x,y)=(9,0)
9+4(0)=9
9+0=9
9=9 True
(9,0) is a soltution.
:
For (-3,-3)
-3+4(-3)=9
-3-12=9
-15=9 False
(-3,-3) is NOT a solution.
:
For (-23,8)
-23+4(8)=9
-23+32=9
9=9 True
(-23,8) is a solution.
Happy Calculating, Sher!!!
