Answer by funmath(2933) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find the x-intercept and y-intercept of the equation 5x - 3y = 30.
For the y-intercept, let x=0 and solve for y:
5(0)-3y=30
-3y=30
-3y/-3=30/-3
y=-10
The y-intercept is (0,-10)
For the x intercept let y=0 and solve for x:
5x-3(0)=30
5x=30
5x/5=30/5
x=6
The x-intercept is (6,0)
Happy Calculating!!!
