Question 56360: I have tried going through the TI-84 plus manual that came with my calculator, so that I can graph this linear equation: 3x+2y=6. I have not been able to graph linear equations. Can someone please tell me how to enter this equation properly into my calculator? I have solved the problem manually.

Thank you

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First ... you must get it into y=mx + b (point-slope form)
+3x%2B2y=6+
+2y+=+-3x%2B6+
+y+=+-3x%2F2+%2B+3+
on your calc, press the following ....
Directly under the display window on the left side is the "Y" button. It will bring up a screen that looks something like ...
y1=
y2=
y3=
y4=
plug in the equation ... (-3x/2) + 3 ..... YES .. use the parenthesis.
next,on the right side, below the display window is the "Graph" button.
press it.
this will display your graph. If you then want to see the x,y table, press @nd and then graph (table)
