You can put this solution on YOUR website!

3x-9y=27 Start with the given equation.

-9y=27-3x Subtract 3x from both sides.

-9y=-3x%2B27 Rearrange the terms.

y=%28-3x%2B27%29%2F%28-9%29 Divide both sides by -9 to isolate y.

y=%28%28-3%29%2F%28-9%29%29x%2B%2827%29%2F%28-9%29 Break up the fraction.

y=%281%2F3%29x-3 Reduce.

So the equation y=%281%2F3%29x-3 is now in slope intercept form y=mx%2Bb where the slope is m=1%2F3 and the y-intercept is b=-3 note: the y-intercept is the point
