Plot the point (9,-1)
Draw the line y = 7
----
Draw a line thru (9,-1) parallel to y = 7.
Do you see that your line passes thru ALLll points where y = -1?
It's equation is y = -1
-----------------------------------
Find a perpendicular line.
Draw the line thru (9,-1) perpendicular to y = 7.
Do you see that your line passes thru ALL points where x = 9?
It's equation is x 9
